social smile
Eidan just began smiling last week. This time it's a conscious smile also known as the social smile. Before, he'd only smile as a result of being a newborn or when he's happily dreaming.
The sad part about this is, since he's a preemie, he has only started reaching milestones when i was already back at work ='( just thinking about the other mileatones i might miss in the future makes me want to cry =(
Does it get easier?

i have the same sentiments. 3 months FMLA is still too short a time to see pistoy's firsts.
i know i will miss a lot of firsts when i go back to work. but i will try to focus on the ones that i will witness. after all, everyday is a miracle. =)
*hugs janey*
Jane, now that you're back to work, every minute that you spend with him is all the more special... and you're right what's more important is the ones that you'll be able to witness. Kudos to you! You're doing a really, really great job as a mommy.
Thanks thanks mga mommies =) I'm trying to focus on the time I can spend with him na. I'll miss the onset of a few milestones but i know i'll be able to see more =) The reality of that still gets me teary eyed but i think that will always be the case.
hey jane, do you remember the B-forum topic dati... "if a tree falls and there's nobody around to see it, does it make a sound?" hehe! consider it like that.
if Eidan's real firsts happen, but you didn't see it, it's not the first. *lol*
hmmm, that suddenly sounded like a good idea. =P
