exclusively pumping

i've been exclusively pumping for four weeks now.. my milk supply is still not as much as i would hope for but im glad that somehow i am able to provide the amount Eidan needs daily.. he's currently taking 45cc each feeding and im producing 50 to 60cc per pumping.. but since he's eating from a tube, 5cc goes to waste as they have to account for the milk that goes through the length of the tube.. so in total, he's using 50cc per feeding..

ive taken two sets of reglan to boost my milk supply (which is the only amount i can take).. since im done with that prescription medicine im now taking fenugreek which is also known to have the same effect..

i am not sure if they work since my milk supply did not increase a lot.. plus the increase could also be due to the length of time ive already been pumping.. regardless, i will continue to take the herbal supplement since i dont wanna take the risk of expressing lesser milk if i stop taking it..

i wake up every 3 hours now to go by Eidan's feeding schedule in the hospital.. i do get discourage sometimes when i get barely get enough of what he needs.. plus my breasts have blisters all over (ouch!) and i could really use some sleep..

i can only hope that when Eidan goes home and starts breastfeeding, ill have more than enough to feed him..
